My name is Heather Church and I am a Farm Girl Gone Chicagoan. Growing up on a farm with the closest town having  a population of 200 and a high school graduating class of 38 makes me about as rural as can be. However, since graduating college from Northern Illinois University I have given up the small town life for the big city. I currently reside in the northern Chicago suburbs and work downtown in one of the tallest skyscrapers in Chicago. I decided to share aspects of my life from food to fitness to fun, which encompasses where I came from (the farm) to where I am (Chicago).

  1. I just stumbled upon your blog from a comment you left on HRG; and based on your blog name, I had to check your site out. I grew up on a dairy farm, I had a high school graduating class of 60, and after college I eventually moved to the VA suburbs of DC.

  2. I went to AHS, graduating with your father in 1980. I grew up in Mineral and now reside in Chicago, having done so since 1986. I wish you the very best of luck and hope all of your dreams come true.

  3. Thank You! Glad to know of another AHS graduate in Chicago.

  4. I just read your Nashville posts. Great suggestions! I’m heading there in April. Do you recommend any places to day? Thanks!

  5. Hi there, I’m Judy! I have a question and would love to speak with you more. Please email me when you get a chance, thank you!
